When you say "new" what do you mean?  It's been a while since you could even buy the 2600mAh Phase One Batteries.

Pretty bold statement.

Any documentation here on the new Phase One 3400 mah batteries supporting your statement???  I know Phase spent some time testing this latest generation of batteries which run about $70

Phase One is quite little company compared to giants like Canon or Nikon, do not overestimate their production & test budget We all know how buggy digital (not Phase One only, to be honest) backs, especially old ones. For P and P+ series, for example, voltage is very critical factor - even 0.1V deviation can lead to unstable behavior. New batteries designed for current generation of digibacks, electronics also made step forward.

Of course, if unexpected reboots is not a big problem - just forget it. I hate it.

Never had problems with re-boots, as you say, with any of my digital backs.  And certainly current generation batteries are better than previous ones.
