Self Publishing Calendars

Lets say you have decided to self publish and you have boxes of calendars so how do you market them?

It's July. You give them away as a promotion and hope someone will actually display them.

What month is best to self publish? What marketing methods are best?

Of course I was referring to last year's stock. For 2016 calendars you might have them available end of September, first of October. Website, galleries and retail outlets. If you can get them into some tourist traps and greeting card stores might be good, too.    - Jim
