I thought there was a sunrise everyday? ;) I agree this is a very fine image.  :)

Thanks, everyone.

I try to do a lot of shots like that, but it seldom works out to my satisfaction.

Very minimal. The contrast is amazing, makes me want to shoot something like this, too! :D

I'll join the chorus of approval. It's so very different from everything we usually see!

+1 to all the accolades above - it's certainly an easy photograph to grab attention and be just a tad envious of the light and circumstance. Well seen and captured and it really could stand on its own as is. But I feel there could be one small improvement made to the composition.

My feeling is that it is slightly too cramped on the right side. Even a 10 to 15% shift of the buildings to the left would be enough to allow them to "breathe" without disrupting the intention of the placement. Composition, to me anyways, is all about how the scene feels to me; it's a gut reaction upon first look and one that has served me well over the years. Granted, you, as the photographer, will have a different gut reaction and may find this to your liking. Just trying to be objective, though.

Love the minimalist approach and the largeness of the sky.
