Egrets in OKC
« on: May 16, 2015, 02:54:01 pm »

Oklahoma City is a big stop on the central flyway for migratory birds so  we get lost of visitors this time of year. So, one of each for now.

#1 - Great Egret in flight
#2 - Cattle Egret at rest in a wooded area
#3 - Snowy Eagle at rest
#4 - Night Herons prefer pavement - easier to see bugs for eating

Enjoy. Comments appreciated.

The bottom one is not an Egret but a Black Crowned Heron. The first is a Great Egret, the second a Cattle Egret in breeding plumage and the third appears to be a Snowy.
