Taste is of course a personal thing: I'm very much over LE, especially LE with water. It has become a cliché for me.
The other thing that I instinctively react against is incoherence in an image, which is why I typically don't like photos pasted together from multiple sources, unless they are done very, very well. It's not about "cheating", it's that if I see a landscape where the shadows in the foreground don't correspond to the position of the setting sun in the background, it just feels wrong. So for the example of the wind-turbine... I prefer the version with the "washed out" blades. The superposition looks silly to me... even without considering the blown-out mast.
But as I said, personal taste.
