Deleting videos in library module?

This may have been covered but I can not find here or on adobe. Is there a way to delete videos from the library module in lightroom?

Have you thought about pressing the delete key when you've selected the video ?

Yes, and it is not letting me delete them. I can delete images just fine but not the videos.

I am sorry let me give a bit more info. I hit the delte key and the delete dialog comes up and I hit delete again and then I get a dialog that says the file could not be moved/delete to the recycle bin and it stays in the library.

Let me give a bit more info. Lightroom 5.3 64bit on win 7 pro 64bit. when hitting delete the delete dialog comes up and when I hit delete from disk another dialog comes up and says the file can not be moved to the recylcle bin. It will allow the remove from the catalog but file is still on disk. In bridge it will delete it and move to the recylcle bin. but I would rather be working in light room on pics and as I come to a video preview and see if I want to save and work in PS or what have you and throw out the videos that are obvious junk etc. and keep working in lightroom Knowing video is gone.

I get the standard dialogue, with 'delete from disk' working as with images. Have you accessed the video's from another program that might prevent deletion?

No. I am running only lightroom or only bridge at one time when I am culling images etc. just on principal because I have had the could not complete your request (not sure words) because another adobe application is using the file.

Delete works fine here on videos with LR 5.6 + W7 Pro 64.

Does it happen with every video? Sure they might not be open in another program? Tried restarting Windows?

Yes it has been happening for a couple days so restart not the deal and it will delete fine in bridge. Current deal is with gopro mp4s I have not tried my sonyrx100 iis yet or my samsung phone ones. I am in the LR and PS cloud deal and on a less than superfast internet it has been a ton of problems. At start took days to download stuff(kept timming out ) and updates would not work etc. Now that you can download programs a bit better but still can of worms and every update a crapshoot about for instance the latest 2014 updates and the stiching etc. and everytime none of my plugins will work etc. I have shewes sharpen deal but have stoppped using not because of it, but the updates etc. so I have been updating as little as possible I did download 5.6 but have not installed it yet so I will take a chance and put it in and hope it and 2014 play nice together and that is my issue here. Thanks for the help.

Just in case anyone else has video issues, I spoke to soon. stranger and stranger. I was able to delete 2 videos then Lightroom hung up and I got a new message   videosystemerror:unknownmessage:bindSuccess and things would not play or do anything. another interesting deal in the recycle bin now there were 2 files the video and a .THM file for each video deleted from lightroom. Closed it down and tried again and now back to will not delete from disk. also buggy unless I let video files completely load audio.
So I am back to my original work around Lightroom previews better than bridge so check them out and note numbers of ones to delete. then close lightroom and open bridge and delete videos I do not want (no .THM files from bridge) then close bridge. And back to lightroom to go to videos that now have the exclamtion point and delete from catalog to clean up the catalog.
Kind of like using my plugins in CC and CC2014. They were working fine in CS6. And know they crash CC and CC2014 unless I work around by saving and closing files and then have to reopen and sometimes close PS and reopen and not do anything except go straight to the plug in so that PSdoes not crash. (yes every update since CC  I have had to go to the plug in web site and download latest versions and they still do not work right.)
And I have newest and latest video drivers etc. Since when back at begining of the cloud deal when it totaly would not work and I let a tech take over and she trashed everything on my system and I had to redownload stuff for a week. all kinds of stuff nothing to do with adobe.
And no I am not here just bashing adobe I have been using the stuff since photoshop5 and lightroom 3 and have bought lots of videos from this site as well, I just would like to be able to work on my work instead of working to make my tools work.  Again thanks for the help and sorry about going off topic

another wrinkle maybe other people know this and or the 2 guys trying to help me knew this as well but assumed I was in the grid view? In the library module you can be in the loop view and delete photos but do you have to be in the grid view in the library to delete videos? since I just tried on files from other cameras I noticed that I could delete in the grid view but not the loop view.
Also maybe someone knows about the .THM files? I went in the finder and saw that all the video files have a .THM  file with them but I don't think lightroom and or maybe bridge are throwing those away when they delete the mp4 files? anyone know what they are or for?

A thm file is a video sidecar file for metadata like a XMP sidecar file for a RAW file.

bet a shiny dime your issues will be fixed if you delete them from grid

as with batch editing, it doesn't work in filmstrip, only grid

why don't you get a hard-drive to store your images?
