But why go overboard? It just needs to utilize the full dr of an average screen, and a wb correction so it doesn't look like shot through a car window. Not getting either of those two "correct" is just plain silly.
I guess it's not clear to me what WB you are referring to as correct. The first image is how it looked to me. The second image I used the wb dropper on some gray snow.
The dr of the scene was less than the camera, it was pretty low contrast and the histogram was all pretty close to the middle.
To fully use the dr of the gear or simulate that, I'd really have to pump up contrast which still looks wrong to my eyes. I did that in the second (which I agree is overboard).
