Looking nice Bernard.  By the way, what pano software do you use?  We mainly use PTGui plus manual stitches in post.

Although I do not have the pano finished yet, I spent two and half days shooting backings for a major film production in and around the Plaza Hotel this week.  Not going to lie, the rig the grips built for me to get my camera 6 inches out the window had me holding my breath.

With a view like this out the front door, can any one tell me why Carol is not happy? 

Shot this back in February 2024 and since the show has premiered today on Apple TV we can finally start using it.  Backings need to be functional and a lot of time the composition (as a stand alone image) is compromised in order to make it work on set.  This view though, well I think it looks pretty damn nice by itself.

On a total whim, at the end of an architectural shoot last fall, I captured this day time view of Fishtown in Philadelphia from the roof deck of the building I was photographing.  I edited and added it to our catalog for Precision Backdrops, my backing business for film & TV. 

I spent two hours last night using AI to generate the night version.  It would still need some clean up if it went to print, maybe another two hours.  However, in the past when we created a night from scratch, we would plan on 20+ hours of retouching. 

Kind of amazing what AI can enable us to do in much less time.
