That's true.  Interestingly, it only reduces cases by 10% and deaths by 25%. (I may have the numbers reversed.) But the point is, it's not very effective.  I hope the Covid vaccines are better.  They claim 90-95%.  But we won't know for a few months for sure.

Some states have imposed penalties for not following Covid rules.  Four years ago I paid a $300 fine to Connecticut for doing 85 in a 65 mph zone. Well, it was actually 90.  But the trooper was trying to be nice to me.  In any case, locally here in NJ, the chief constable said he's ordered his cops not to respond to complaints about people having more guests than the allowed ten in their homes for Thanksgiving.  He just doesn't think it's appropriate.  Even cops don't like some rules.

Let's say you want to go down to the local elementary school and shoot some children and teachers. How many high capacity magazines do you need? Let's say five. That's $1000. Seems like a bargain to me.

For four years, anti-Trumpers screamed the electoral system is a fraud, phoney, not fair, and makes Trump an illegitimate president.  I don't recall concern how those complaints undermine the American system of government and constitution?

I don't remember anybody screaming that stuff. Seems like there was a some rational discussion of eliminating the electoral college and moving to popular vote, but most people realized that it was so difficult to amend the constitution we were stuck with it so the discussion just faded away.
