Used backs in the UK?

Hi guys,

I'm an infrequent visitor of these forums over the last few months, and feel i've learned some key stuff from the threads on here already. As someone who wants to dip their toe into medium format digital but doesn't want to spend major money to get there, I have decided to browse used gear like P20/21s, Aptus 22s, ZD backs, Hassy CFVs... but there's so little of it for sale online in the UK it's unreal. So far i've been watching Ffordes, Peartree, Pro Centre and Teamwork, without much luck. Does anyone know of any other good UK retailers for used MF backs (other than Fleabay)?

With this kind of money involved, I would be very careful buying a used digital back from anyone but an authorized dealer. That said, I've had good experiences with DTEK Systems (www.dtek.co.uk) - they always have a selection of refurbished and commission-sale backs. They're a bit more expensive than a private sale, but you can sleep better because you get a tested item with a return policy and optional warranty.

If you register your interest with any/all of these guys you may get a call when something comes in rather than trying to catch it when listed. They may also be more inclined to "buy in" a back if they know they have a buyer lined up.
