Image stacks -- only in CS5 extended?
« on: August 11, 2010, 03:04:02 am »

Image stacks in CS3 Extended are described here:

http://www.photoshopforphotographers.com/pscs3/download/sample-04.pdf

That feature was only available in CS3 and CS4 Extended.  That is, using it as described by Evening to eliminate objects such as people who are walking through a scene.

What about CS5?  If I want to get this feature again, do I need to upgrade the Extended version?

That appears to be the case based on Adobe's help files and page.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hi Marty,

AFAIK the stacks averaging or median rendering is an Extended feature.
Just a word of caution, once you've upgraded to extended version, you will need to purchase future upgrades for that version. The more affordable regular version upgrades are no longer possible.

Cheers,
Bart
