Sinar is still alive !
« on: November 07, 2009, 05:15:45 am »

After long months of silence, a new web site shows that there is some more of life at Sinar. I hope that the joined newsletters will be more regular than in the past.

Look at http://www.sinarcameras.com

I noticed that an hour ago when I updated my firmware. Looks nice, and you don't have to log in to download things any more

Has anyone else noticed the mention of eXposure 7.0 on the software tab on any of the the 'solutions' pages? I wonder when it will be out and what will be new compared to 6.2?

Interesting, though I preferred the layout of the "old" website.
More importantly, is there software for Windows systems, or is only Macintosh supported by Sinar?

Happy to see that Sinar is still alive and looking forward to see news from them.

The Sinarback eSprit 65 LV looks nice, wonder if the 3" screen is of good quality?

eXposure 7.0.1 is up on the Sinar downloads page now. Looks like mainly minor bug fixes and a new GUI, no major new features. Readme file doesn't state if it is SL compatible, but I'll try it on one on my SL machines today.

Thanks Thierry. I just did a quick test and it doesn't crash when attempting a Macbeth card calibration anymore, which was on of the problems with 6.2.1 and SL. Haven't tried to check the colour balance yet compared to an exported tiff, which was the other problem. Looks good! I like the dark GUI option.

This could easily be missed here. I'll post this in a new thread.
