RAW vs DNG

Dear users,

Should I use RAW files or convert previously to DNG?
I understand DNG format is not proprietary so it'll be able to be read by any converter anytime, so converting files to DNG seems obvious to me. In fact I do it.
But some photographers don't or at least some of them see some disadvantages. Which are the advantages and disadvantages of converting to DNG?

this is not correct - not all raw converters (so far) will be able to read your DNG file (DxO for example) and not all that will be able to read it have full functionality enabled w/ DNG file (C1 does not do CA/PF corrections for DNG for example)...

It seems like it should be a win but only a few raw converters support DNG.  And even if that isn't a problem now it could be in the future.  In the case of Canon they didn't do lens corrections in DPP so there was no problem converting to DNG.  But those scamps went and added lens corrections to DPP.  Can't use those with the DNG files.  (It would be nice if canon gave those corrections to Adobe like Panasonic did.)
