Swallows nest

I took this in 2007 and didn't think it over wonderful at the time but now I've come across it again and think about it I'm quite pleased with the result.

It is my one and only serious attempt at wildlife photography and shows a swallow feeding its young on a nest in our stables. The parent birds are in and out incredibly quick, micro-seconds in fact, and I had to take quite a few to get one with it actually perched.

Hey Justin,

That's a good grab.  To add interest, I would darken the corners, especially the bottom left- that bird poo is pretty distracting.  Also, you might want to lighten the shadows in the feathers of the birds to bring out some more detail.  I'm assuming you used flash- try playing with the white balance and saturation to bring in some more color.  All these are suggestions to make this shot as much about the birds as possible.
