you guys have huge areas. if I had something like that where I live... I would be spending a mint.
my biggest studio set up is something like this
http://www.adorama.com/VRDSB16T.html?searc...&item_no=18

That made me laugh, thanks.

This is the place where I've done my last portraits. It's available 24/7 now so I'm thinking about hiring it permanently.
It needs a bit of work but the space and light are amazing.

that looks amazing....looks nice and big with tons of natural light which could be easily blocked out....

I hope you get people to come out from london.. would be nice to have a shoot there for a week!

I have a hope people may come from london - more on location shoots but knowing they can back into the studio if the weather goes wrong and that there is a lot of backup with lights and kit compared to just hiring a location

Hopefully tight finances/eco concerns might push people away from going abroad !

put the word out

Here's where I spend the majority of my time, it's not very pretty but it's quite functional.  Jim

For some reason I can't attached an image, I'll have to try later.

Well, it looks like I need to update my Safari because the attachment window doesn't show up.  Luckily I use Firefox too.  Here's a shot of my stage that illustrates some of the different lighting equipment I use.  Have a look at my website to see more images (and a schematic) of the facility.  Jim

Henry, That's not Simon's studio, it's mine, Jim Haefner from Detroit (where car photography was invented!)

Hi Dean,

As the old saying goes “Its not the size that matters but how you use it”.

Cheers

It gets put to good use and we are extremely busy everyday, thanks. I agree. Really wouldn't mind a few extra sq meters though.

Typically I shoot on location which might be outdoors or at health clubs/gyms. When I need a studio I rent wherever it is most convenient geographically.

Ian what is attached to that grip arm to hold the ringflash on? I assume it has a 3/8 mount on the receiving end? Any help is appreciated I could use one. I dont know why profoto didnt use a 5/8 receiver for these heads....
