Nikon lenses on Canon bodies
« on: February 18, 2008, 05:54:04 am »

I really want to get the new Nikon 14-24mm lens, which is the kind of lens I've been needing and craving for quite some time, but I can't quite justify switching from Canon to Nikon bodies just yet.

Which adapters would people recommend and are they easily available in the UK?

I believe he is in the UK: http://www.16-9.net/ He offers an adapter for what you need.

Me too! I've ordered the adapter on offer from www.16-9.net and look forward to testing this lens. It would replace my Sigma 15-30 which is regrettable rather poor in the extreme corners on my 5D at wide apertures. Stopped down to f16, it's okay, but sometimes there just isn't enough light to support hand-held shots at f16, as in the following shot of the interior of Wat Bupharam in Chiang Mai (F5.6, ISO 1600, 1/50th).

Sometimes there might be little of interest in the extreme corners, but in this case there's a lovely dancing lady   .
