Printer Profile - Photoshop
« on: December 30, 2007, 02:33:15 pm »

I have a custom profile for my printer.

But, the prints seem to have gone off spec, and the colours are not as displayed on my monitor. My monitors are calibrated.

In Photoshop which is the best Rendering Intent to use?

Relative Colormetric
Perceptual
Absolute Colormetric
Saturation

Black Point Compensation - ticked or not ticked

Many thanks for any help on this one

Turn BPC on.  It might not help but it shouldn't hurt.

Use the rendering intent that looks best when you soft proof.

I'd recommend picking up the From Camera to Print Tutorial available on this site.  Very worthwhile.
