E Learning Tutorials
« on: December 26, 2007, 06:54:24 pm »

May i borrow from actual experience?  I need to find on line or DVD based tutorials about how to use Adobe Photoshop.  The 2 most likely sources are Lynda.com or Scott Kelby Training.  The costs are about the same either way.

Does anybody have experience with either one or both to share?

Thanks

The Lynda.com books are pretty good. I originally downloaded a load of their books to teach myself how to use Flash and Illustrator but also downloaded the Photoshop books and the lessons are pretty comprehensive. Can't comment on the other brand as I haven't tried them.

go to bridge in photoshop cs2 and click the help.  there is a link that takes you to photoshop on line tutorials.  These are great and you can view them as well as print out a copy of the video.

Hi there

Yes, I have gone through several of the Photoshop CS3 tutorials on Lynda.com.

They are very good.

Highly recommended.  At $25/month you can't go wrong.

See this page for a list of training resources for Photoshop and other related apps.

I too have tried Lynda's online training and it indeed is one of the top choices. I don't have them listed on this page because even though I've met personally with them two years in a row at Photoshop World, they have not followed up with my requests for review materials... ;-)

Thank you everyone.  Good information as usual.

FWI: I  just now installed Photoshop CS-3 and already have Lightroom.  Now, to learn how to use it.  A few hours ahead of me?

Lynda.com is very good, gets my vote. Would be really neat too be able to download the tutorials, as opposed to just have live streaming, but I can understand the logic. The DVD's are always available to purchase if required.

Before purchasing, have a google for "Lynda Coupons" I saved $100 on my annual subscription 8^)

Also recently saved on Adobe downloads and if you get in trouble for spending too much most on line "domestic recovery solutions" have discount coupons ranging from free delivery to upgrades to discounts available too!!!!!
