To me the price difference does not seem that significant. For ex the 50-110 zoom is approx 2680 euros while my dealer price is 2830 eur.

The price I got was more like €2.125 before 5% sales tax reduction, so close to 2.000,- In Norway I would need to pay €3.700 since I'm not entitled to a tax refund. On other lences the difference is even bigger.
I do not think there is any other than the H1 that has been branded by Fuji in Japan. Not that I've been able to find, anyway.
Another observation I did. Due to the low dollar these days, it is actually cheeper to get stuff like a Canon lense from Amazon, than from the big retailers in Japan. However, a friend of mine over here explains that Japanese producers tend to keep their mint products for their home market, and export the rest. He claimed this explained the price difference. I do not know if there is any hold in this, but I have noticed somone complaining about how hard it is to get hold of a really good Japanese lense, some times...
