Synar Hy6 release date and system price announced
« on: May 10, 2007, 10:01:34 am »

Found this over at photo.net (http://www.photo.net/bboard/q-and-a-fetch-msg?msg_id=00L5jG)

http://www.huliq.com/21127/sinar-launches-...m-format-camera

and

http://www.digitalphotopro.com/dppthisweek...camera/#more-96

I also found this at Adorama (http://www.adorama.com/catalog.tpl?op=NewsDesk_Internal&article_num=050907-1), so the word is definitely out.

It looks like (US) availability will be mid-July with a list price of $32,500 US for the camera + eMotion 75LV back and $30,500 US for the camera + eMotion 54LV.

This is the first time I've heard of the LV moniker. Does anyone know what the LV signifies?

Best regards,
Brad

That makes sense!  (Clearly I missed the obvious!)

Thanks,

So it is, LV stands for Live Video capability of the eMotion 54 (22 Mpx) and 75 (33 MPx). A part from this, new electronics and other improvements are coming with those new backs: they are not just the e22 and the e 75 with LV capability.

Is that the final treatment, 2 color scheme? It reminds me the hideous looking Hasselblad's H series cameras. Sorry H lovers, I know it is in my eyes only. One more good reason to keep my gorgeous V system!
Hey F&H !!! Make an all black version.

no worry, there isn't a bi-color version.

its a small thing, but im sure hasselblad would have sold heaps more if they looked more like this-

[a href=\"http://fujifilm.jp/personal/filmcamera/mediumformat/gx645af/design.html]http://fujifilm.jp/personal/filmcamera/med...5af/design.html[/url]

the contax is actually more plasticy than the h1 (h1 being coated metal), but it doesnt seem like it because its got that nice mat black look to it.

Please go to www.sinarcameras.com to see the actual and final look and colours of the Sinar Hy6.

And there is even a 3-D view under:
