What's your biggest MF digital image?
« on: March 27, 2018, 01:34:44 am »

Fun thread, big photos only.  Autopano Giga was used, and even as jpeg images, my poor laptop doesn't like me any more.

2018 UW Cherry Blossoms 2.23gp 360 atop a MegaMast w/ a Gigapan robotic head - 120 shots, 6x20 with the 645z and 75mm lens

Seattle SLU looking North 2.42gp about 200 degrees wide shot, Gigapan robotic head - 116 shots, 4x29 with the 645z and 200mm lens

I'm a huge fan of the MegaMast - 26' tall tripod.  I've used it for time-lapses over a crowd, and now as an elevator for the Gigapan Epic Pro.

I like the park very much! ; always difficult with people moving around...

Since it is stitched, it does not matter if its MF or not i suppose...

Yes, people always seem to get in the way.  Unfortunate, but it's why we are all there.  Very nice shot with the station, the light fixture in the center is nuts - I can't imagine the 'fun' they had wiring it up.

Yes, it doesn't need to be medium format, it's just the best camera I have, and the next option would require 4x as many shots and 4x as long to get the same size.

Here is one I did 5 years ago with a PhaseOne P45+. That was a looooong process. Used Gigapan Pro with their software. I had to reshoot 3 times... (Computer crashing, unexpected clouds, etc...)

27.63 Gigapixels....

1656 images

Enjoy!

And only 180 degrees of view!  Which body & lens did you use?

Challenge accepted!  ;D

Not quite in your league size-wise but still quite large:

56,200 x 8772 pixels 1.84GP. 50 images in a single row pan with the IQ260.

It did get used for quite a cool application though:

Richard, awesome image, but more importantly a great use for it.  It's got to be a kick to walk by it at size.
