Canson Infinity Baryta Photographique = Photo Black Ink ???
« on: April 11, 2015, 11:41:45 am »

I was surprised to see that Canson recommends using the Photo Black Ink Cartridge when printing on their Baryta Photographique paper.

Do I have this right?
Thanks,

Thanks.
I am also surprised that Canson recommends to choose PERCEPTUAL las the rendering intent and not Relative?

I don't know why they do that. Have they seen your image?

Use whichever intent works best for your image and ignore that recommendation.

But you would expect PK, it is a glossy surface paper. Anything but a true matte paper will require PK: gloss, semi-gloss, lustre, satin, silk, pearl, semi-matte, photo-matte, they are all glossy papers. Something like Canson Rag Photographique would be MK.

I think that ALL baryta papers use the photo black inks.
