White Rim in Moonlight
« on: February 26, 2015, 02:18:16 pm »

Canyonlands NP. Cold and clear, full moon, I was the only person up there. A profound sense of solitude. Amazing what the camera "sees" even though I could not.

Very nice and mysterious. What sort of exposure time are we looking at here? About 1 minute?

Do you have another one with more sky? There is a hint of a blue band/arch in the sky that seems interesting.

A nice image.  I wish the horizon were a bit more distinguishable as well as some stars.

Years ago I saw images of a photographer who often shot in bright moonlight.  His images had an interesting soft “glow” for lack of a better description).

I like your shot very much!

Here's another shot. Not through with the PP yet as I am feeling my way through these. I think I like this one better with more sky.

I like the second one best.

They both have a great sense of mystery.

I like the second one best.

I agree with Chris; the second is my favorite. The sky adds greater mystery, but both are evocative. Thanks for posting your fine images.
