PDA to DSLR
« on: June 29, 2005, 07:35:12 pm »

Lately I purchased a cheap portable DVD player for $100 that i could throw into my backpack.  I hook my DSLR via its video-out to the DVDs video in to review pictures on a bigger screen.  The quality is not great, but it quickly enable me to see focus and motion errors not detectable on the DSLR LCD.

I looked long and hard at the EPSON P2000, but I just did not have the $500 to spend.   While the DVD works, I just got to thinking as I was entering data into my PDA (Dell AXIM x500v) that a PDA would be an ideal filed device to review photos on.  If I could only figure out how to do it.

Does anyone have any insights or ideas?

Thanks!

I bought the Epson then dumped it due to lack of a good file system. But there are new cheaper viewers that may work OK. Ideally, if you have the funds and ability to carry an extra small bag, a Toshiba Libretto computer will give you everything you need.
