Hi!

Just registered so I could see if I could help you somewhat.

1. Make sure you use Native as display luminance.
2. Use table based instead of matrix. (bigger profile, but also more accurate.
3. Make sure your intel driver does not load on startup. (don't know if Surface pro uses intel, but I presume it is.). this is by unchecking igfx in startup tab in msconfig.
4. Use the largest patch set.

Ok, maybe this won't solve it, but it will make sure you get the best profile possible.
Another tip is to let the colorimeter sit on you tablet for about 20 minutes, så that it has gotten a stable temperature.

Another thing you could try is to register at basiccolor displays homepage, and try an evaluation license for 14 Days. See if it can make a better profile.

Kind Regards
Marcus, Sweden.

To get the best grayscale calibrated performance possible, all you need to do is to uninstall the default driver and install the latest driver instead.  You can find the following  page online with respect to color banding issues.

Thanks for the information.  But, unfortunately, there are still issues with Surface Pro 3 drivers.  I've been following several forums that are devoted to the SP3

http://www.surfaceforums.net/forums/microsoft-surface-pro-3.49/
http://www.reddit.com/r/Surface/

Surface Pro 3 - The problems thread  (Note how long this thread is.  This link goes to screen 44.)

My SP3 is relatively stable compared to many others.  I stopped installing updates after the first round of Microsoft updates in July because it seems that every MS update fixes one problem but creates several new ones.  So I'm holding off on installing any updates/drivers until the problem reports dwindle.  I'd rather put up with some minor screen banding than have my Wi-fi or mouse/keyboard stop working.

But again thanks to those that replied.  And I'm still happy with my SP3.  Microsoft has the right idea: a single tablet/computer is the way to go.  IMO.  They just need to get the implementation refined a bit better.
