A black plastic strap (about 2" wide which sits between the ink lines tubes and the inside of the flexible armidillo-like cable which moves the carriage unit) which I suspect is there to prevent rubbing or abrasion of the ink lines with the flexiable cable, has come undone. Does it do anything else like provide support for the flexible armidillo cable or is it just to prevent ink line kinking/rubbing with the cable ?
I have put it back into place as far as it can go but am not sure where it is connected to. Can I keep printing and will it cause problems unless it pops out again. I am in a remote place and it will cost a packet just to fix what seems a simple problem. Any help would be very much appreciated.
