Light leak with the Mamiya 7?
« on: June 28, 2014, 08:11:22 am »

Hi there, I've just started using the panoramic adapter for the Mamiya 7ii that takes 35mm film. Unfortunately my first roll has shown light leaks that didn't appear previously with 120 film. I'm not sure if this problem is due to using the panoramic adapter, or if it's a new problem that has emerged at the same time I started using it. I'm wondering if there is anything I might be doing wrong, or if anyone can guess what these light leaks might be by looking at them:

The leak appears always in the same place, but not on every single frame. One frame will be fine, then the next one has the leak, then the next one is fine and so on. I've checked the back door, and there doesn't seem to be anything obviously wrong, there are no light seals to wear out, only light 'traps'.

Any help would really be appreciated, it's a real shame that I can't use such a lovely camera.
