With the arrival of the Eizo CG246, a side effect is that I'm beginning to be bothered by the shortcomings of my other displays. The NEC P232W that I'm now using as my primary home display, is a case in point. It's a terrific little monitor, to be sure, but there is one problem with it: the blacks wash out with a strong blue/white glow at any other angle than straight on.
It's so pronounced that it affects the corners and sides at normal working distance. A little further away and it disappears.
OK, I know it's a budget/entry level model in the P/PA series. But still, I'd like to know if this is the normal behavior, or if I somehow got a flawed unit? Are the bigger PAs affected by this?
