The serial number is clearly visible I presume Hasselblad or a dealer could trace the owner from that and confirm the bargain of the century was real!!

I'm not buying anyway old firmware R500 not R512  ;D

And if you throw in an extra 50 GBP (plus your bank account number and password), he'll throw in a bridge in Brooklyn as well as some Prime Florida (swamp) Real Estate.

the fun part is that reporting it won't help much ... I've seen 2 or 3 a few months ago, same listing and a new seller each few days. that went on for about 2 weeks then they vanished.

They surely have to change their policy on Ebay and check listings before they are published. It's bad for (their own) business the rules they now have.

But then the seller can edit after posting.
I suppose a genuine error would mean taking it down and re-submitting if editing was blocked ?
What staff would they need to review all listings? As it is "we" do the reviewing and report so they only need staff tp look at those flagged up, a cunning plan  ;D

Perhaps a good idea would be, to demand from all sellers to use their real name, tax.id. number and perhaps even tel. number and address...

What, like Facebook, Twitter, Luminous Landscape  ;D ;D

If you know sharks swim in the water you take precautions.
Don't these sellers need a PayPal account ? If so are they "false" as well ?

It's gone up £100 since last time  >:(

Wasn't it Newcastle last time? That's why it's gone up, Cheshire is a more salubrious area!

Look at the other item listed as well.

Maybe this is a little foolish of me, but I have toyed with these people before - my email account has a corporate level firewall, by the way, and I don't use personal identifiers on eBay. Write like an innocent, but don't give them details. It can be interesting to have them show their modus operandi. Spelling seems to be too big of a challenge for them, even if the initial posting was proofread for grammar and spelling. However, leading on the Nigerian princes, eBay wonder dealers, etc gets old after the first time or two. Nowadays I just refer the post to eBay management or to the spam filter.

Are they denied access to spell checkers ?
I don't think I want to know really but it could save me rom the fate, how do they seemingly so easily, or is it a result of high numbers of attempts and few "hits", get access to the accounts?

OK Google is your friend. http://hackersnewsbulletin.com/2013/09/hacker-can-easily-hijack-ebay-account-just-1-minute.html
