new Pentax 645d 2
« on: February 10, 2014, 11:25:09 pm »

Aloha,

Rumors are getting pretty solid in regards to a new Pentax 645D 2
I've seen sites posting pictures of the body.

50 megapixels, Sony sensor same as the Phaseone
Articulated screen- for live view?
possible video?

A source I trust pretty well said it's definitely on it's way....

Also one site even had pictures of a new ultra wide lens for it, although I can't see them doing something wider than the 25mm ?

See the 4 page thread in this very sub forum entitled "exciting times!". It started a few days ago and is all about the 2014 Pentax 645d...

Aloha!

Wow totally missed that! lol

After years of complete satisfaction with my 645D, and only buying odds and ends, I finally have something to lust after other than the mythical Pentax 645D IR which is only available to ninjas that work within emperors  palace walls in Tokyo!

Seriously how wide is "ultra wide" ????
Guess we will see in a few days!

This "ultra wide" will be zoom, not fix. This lens could be something like 27-45mm.

Aloha,

Zoom bummer, Oh well...
I tried the 25mm in a shop in Paris, its pretty nice, guess when I'm ready I'll punch that ticket, first in need a new monitor, I have a tough time with my files as it is on my old monitor. Looking at this one;

So cool Pentax is stepping up!
Such a great system, nearly flawless for what I do....
