I do enjoy this. It is very mysterious and evocative.

+1. Needs some scale to do it justice.

"Playing" has good balance top to bottom, not just side to side.

It was sort of round already and then the sun came out a little.

Playing.
Kind of mysterious and spooky at same time. Reminds me of movies where those Egyptian drawings, rocks and figures take on anthropomorphic features and then come to life.

Interesting Bruce. The clown doll or colorful Raggedy Anne that haunts the church? I have to stop. Maybe next time I will see just lines shapes and colors.

I love mirroring!  I have an app (Photodirector) for my S8 that has that feature and I like to mirror faces and things in nature.  We should have a mirroring thread.

I try to look for better Angels. I like to think they are in there too, somewhere.

Nevertheless, your comment made me wonder: What if I added back in what might be thought of as the Raggedy Anne panel.  I had cleaned the act up.  However, if I moved Raggedy Anne a little to the left...

Very nice. The first time I saw the technique with photography was maybe 40 years ago when I was really starting to look at past masters and innovators. Unfortunately, I don't remember who the photographer was. My interest was reawakened about 15 years ago by a gentleman who was producing what he called photographic mandalas. I find it to be more challenging than it looks to produce something that works well.

Can't resist this reference and topic. I discovered Jerry Uelsmann through this site. Incredibly creative work over many years, including in film days when no digital manipulation was available.

Here are some mirrored samples from my files. One does not have to be pure about this, I varied the process. Too much mirroring can start to look  gimmicky:

The good

The bad

The not-so-ugly

And others

More playing. These all began life as detail shots of the blades off the town's snow removal trucks and tractors.

All very fine, John, as expected.
(Of course your logo is in the wrong location in the first one.   ;D  )

I very much like the yellow third one.

The composition seems complete [something I find rare in details] and the feather of the edge suits it.

Thanks, Bruce. It's my favourite as well.
