Spring is coming. It's just a hop and step away...

John and Arlen, outstanding work, gentlemen!

John, that last one is just utterly impressionistic in both look and character. Great flow and texture. Please tell me it is icm, and not some dope postfilter ai thingy accidentally doing the right thing. Oddly enough, I have an urge to flip the image horizontally. Not sure why that "feels" more appropriate? Must be a left-to-right reader problem perhaps, you know, the unfolding of hope and opportunity associated with spring requiring a "leaning into" the image, in the same way that cursive text "leans forward".

Oscar, thanks for the comments. It turns out the original is left to right but I didn't notice, since it's been awhile. It seems I created a mirror image and was going to meld them to create something new. I abandoned it because it looked too static. When I resized to post I didn't notice which one was the original. It is all ICM, perhaps two exposures. I don't think you can replicate this look with filters.

I like it better this way.
Before, when I turned my monitor upside down, it was hard to read the text.   :D

Yes its is the vein-like structures that create the visual order. A wonderful play of snow and branches.

One from the greenhouse. The plants just kept needling me. So here is one.

Not quite sure why this one speaks to me, but it does remind me of Astronauts tethered in space as a great ball (the earth) hovers in the background. A micro world view, I guess.

Thanks Eric. Recognizable but on the abstract side.

That's a powerful and moody image, Rab. It really pulls me in.

Sometimes I see this image as simple juxtaposition of elements. Other times I see big brother and little brother.

Night is falling...and spring is coming. Can't wait to get out in the fresh air.
