Putting together a slideshow of our City Hall during festival of lights. Here she is, followed by an abstraction of same, which I really like.

I was going to say no, but I looked it up. You are right. It is lit from the roof with leds.

They lights sneak up on you and you tend to notice them more when it is really dark. Looks better from a distance. The human eye does not see the violet cast as deeply as the camera sensor. If you haven't already guessed, that building is the famous Toronto City Hall. Quite modernistic looking, with a giant mushroom in the middle.

Thanks for the comments, Peter and Eric.

LED light, especially blues and violets play havoc with digital movie cameras, too.  I like it, actually.  Something we've not seen before.  Actually, I admit to a secret love affair with LEDs.  Science Fiction.

Meanwhile, back to the topic at hand: abstracts. :)

Kudos for anyone correctly identifying this semi-abstract.

this is wonderful: love that the wrench left a fitting open; love the pulleys, vents, splits, dist amp, reliefs. If there were a God He would love the obsolescence, just as his humanity nears the same, yet the utter brilliance of "there is a way to do this". The careful riveted trim of exterior trim lets me know the closer cared as well. While my first reaction was an exotic as in Lagonda, have come around to something as wonderful as a calliope. The pulleys, belts and rollers would allow infinite precision adjustment to whatever the powers provided. Just love this!

But from Iranian source: the pretty lady from the White House said so. There were markings! And holes! And rockets come down from "looking up"! It was on tv: must be true.

Whatever it is, it's so freakin' chaotic that if I were responsible for it I dunno if I'd be ashamed or proud. Maybe both!   ;D
