Melbourne, Australia; need a fine art sculpture photographer
« on: January 31, 2014, 11:47:25 pm »

Howdy,

I have a sculptor friend in Melbourne, AUS. Needs very high quality photographs of her sculptures done for her print portfolio and website. Most sculpture sizes are in the 1/4-1/2 human size to a few 100% human size. Any recommendations for photographers experienced at this kind of work?

Check out who's doing the recent catalogue photography for your local/national museums and galleries. Not every museum has an in house photographer anymore, they are then working with specialized freelancers.

What is a "sculpture photographer"? Is it some kind of "diploma" that a pro photographer should obtain?

Anyone who does still live photography could do Sculptures. It's my point of view. It is just a question of the author liking the photographers style.
Same piece of art could take many different views with different photographers.
There is an architectural photographer in Melbourne who could provably advise you on this matter.
