MIke, this link leads me directly into "if you can't say nuttin' nice, don't say nuttin's my advice" zones, so I won't, beyond adding that stained fingernails were common to all darkroom printers in my day; the answer was simple: clear nail varnish. Or, if you didn't mind the stains, you could pretend to be a heavy smoker. Or give up using the best paper developer ever: D163.
If you wanted to be scientific about it, you could go back to school days and halogen replacement theories and find the solution there.
