Nancy - there is some question whether the horses found in Iceland are ponies.  The Icelanders themselves like to call them horses, not ponies.

I live for this kind of light, the soft diffused type wrought by overcast conditions, which, in my view, best reveals the character of the Icelandic landscape.

To answer your question, yes, it does come out.  Iceland's weather is unpredictable and fast-changing.
