Lofoten fall
« on: September 27, 2012, 09:32:38 am »

A couple of quick grabs from a family vacation. Great colours not captured here: yellow birch, red bearberry. Recommended!

I love #2, the scope, tonal range and composition all work to a great image. Where is this place?

Thanks, Chris! Hard to go wrong here. Type "Reine, Norway" into GoogleMaps. See the satellite view!

... Where is this place?

The Lofoten Islands are off the north west coast of Norway - quite far north, but the Gulf Steam keeps 'em relatively warm (compared to the mainland at that latitude.

Nice photos, the mood and mistery is obvious.

I like  both images. They convey something very different to me. My favourite is still #2…
Well done Scott!
