Presumably you used a Hammer House of Horror pre-set for the conversion.  ;)

All a little too dark & foreboding for my taste

I rather like the "House of Horror" look. Aren't castles supposed to look that way?

I suppose it depends on whether you are leading the procession home, riding, or following it, walking and enchained.

I like it too and yes, it's a well know fact that only "real" castles look that way!  :D

I like this B&W interpretation, it emphasizes the drama of the light and location.

Of course, silly me, I just realized his is Lindisfarne but the dramatic style by which he shoots and edits lends itself to castle imagery.
