I have trouble with seeing people in an otherwise nice landscape shot. They tend to grab attention immediately and short-circuit my interest from the scene and towards what they're doing there in the first place. Maybe that's just me.

Here's one where I took the people out before I worked on the  image. All I could think about was what image was that dude getting from there with his point-and-shoot.

Lou, Don't want to nitpick, but that picture's almost a megabyte. Takes too long to download. I've learned the hard way that a good rule of thumb is to keep stuff below 500K.

Sorry RSL and others about that file size. I've been using Snagit to grab screen shots for uploading here and wrongly assumed that the png file sizes weren't dependent upon the image size showing on my screen. Here's a 451 KB file size of another image without the people. Hope it loads faster.
If not I'll go back to jpg within Snagit as that compresses further.

There was a thread a while ago which involved discussion of the quality of screenshots. As I recall, it was demonstrated beyond any reasonable doubt that they really aren't very good.1 Far, far better quality is gained by exporting a jpeg from whatever software you're using for preparation and posting that. You can control file size pretty easily as well.
