I am kindof interested in doing something crazy and buying some kind of ultra large format camera, I was thinking either 11x17, 8x20, 12x20 or 14x17, I have never really been able to find a terribly in depth review of any of these cameras. However, I have used view cameras, and I understand that these are larger, heavier in that sense. What I don't understand is the following: where do you get the film? I was reading on the Canham website, which seems to be the best (correct me if I am wrong please) company for ULF cameras, and I saw they sell ULF films from Kodak, however it seems they are involved in co-ops, which seems like you just have to wait until there are enough orders to pay the price you need to pay kodak for them to make a batch of a custom size. Firstly, I was wondering, is there anyone who simply stocks this film where you can buy it immediately? and if so which format is the most widely available? or simply most available, since widely is a stretch within this market....also where can you get such sizes developed still?
on the Canham website they also list E100G as a film choice, but is there anyone who is going to process E-6 that big still? thanks for the help.
