LR4 beta Print proofing
« on: March 04, 2012, 10:17:30 pm »

I am trying to print using LR4 Soft proofing.  The print adjust is checked in the printing pallete but moving the sliders results in NO changes in the image on my screen.

AM I missing something in using this new function?

In addition, LR$ is not seeing the printing templates properly--they appear in the list on the left pallete but in the print window,  other templates are applied that are not correct.

I'm sure the many experts will have better explanations, but for now:

Correct the soft proof copy in the develop module.

If you have a color-managed system, ignore (leave unchecked) the print adjustment box in the print module.

For now ignore the slders in the print panel. They are for those that are getting prints too dark or too light. The sliders have nothing to do with soft proofing.

Make all soft proofing adjustments in the develop module with your origonal and proof copy open side by side in compare.
