flash idiosyncracy on fuji x10
« on: March 31, 2012, 07:23:01 am »

though no one may be using such a 'consumer' piece of gear i really am enjoying the fuji x10. i have noticed however that the flash is disabled for manual shooting as well as for EXR - DR mode and shutter priority. My own experiment with external flash show that a nikon sb-910 synchronizes perfectly up to 1/4000. This is probably the result of the focal plane shutter and the small sensor. It is unfortunate that the flash trigger is disabled under these circumstances. Slow synch is really useful, esp at low shutter speeds. And not having a flash in manual mode really confuses me.
