A new camera from Sinar
« on: November 10, 2011, 04:57:57 am »

A new camera is announced by Sinar's importer in Spain. No information on the Sinar own site.

This is a camera specifically designed for the reproduction works, without shift or tilt but with great precision in focusing.

Simple, original, interesting and exclusive! Good work.

Thank you for the link. It is a pity that the CAB lenses are no longer supported.

What can you do with this camera that you can't with a Phase or Hasselblad camera?

Use the highest quality lenses, perhaps.

<<What can you do with this camera that you can't with a Phase or Hasselblad camera?>>

Here is a rigid camera, light, shooting vertically or horizontally in the optical axis, using with a maximum accuracy the best optics available, in multishot mode, without any mirror and vibration. Just what desire many photographers specialized in certain types of work.

If anyone is interested in digital repro camera platforms here is one that has been available for a number of years now.

It is available as a single capture model and also available with a stitching module. Here is an image of the DT RCam Reprographic Camera  that is compatible with all digital backs.

Some highlights are:
Built to .005mm tolerances to ensure image and focal plane are in perfect alignment
Extremely accurate helical focusing system
Compatible with a wide variety of digital backs
More info.....

This camera can be used stand alone or integrated with the DT RG3040 Reprographic System or the BC100 Book Capture Station.
