Thanks Bernard. Couldn't find that info anywhere. It seemed a tripod could only be attached to the bottom of the handle, but not directly to the phone.

I see... I need to double check in fact, I am not sure whether the threads on the phone cover itself are standard size in fact.

Yes you can have the tripot attaché to the iPhone case direct by using only the top portion of handle. It's a small piece which one end is 4mm thread attaching to case, the other end is 1/4-20 female thread which can attach to tripod.
