Panasonic G3 and 100-300mm zoom - wow!
« on: July 13, 2011, 04:26:36 pm »

I got this lens for my G2 based in part on some recommendations on this list. I am so impressed! This photo is cropped to about 2/3 of the full frame and received the basic LightRoom processing. It was taken hand-held at 300 mm (600 mm equv,). If I had to set up a tripod the egret would have been long gone.

That's pretty impressive. Are you using a G2 or the new G3?

Whoops, my mistake in the subject. I used a G2 (and just ordered a G3).

Nice shot.  What shutter speed and ISO were you set at?

Thanks. Very impressive that you were able to achieve such a sharp image when handholding a 600mm (equivalent) lens. I own the GH2 and am unable to achieve sharp photos with the 14-140 at 140.
