True for the Cone Piezography (B&W) inks, but they already offer the HDR equivalent set for colour.

QTR Piezography for the 7900 and 9900 is in development and Roy Harrington will release the updater soon. We will build the profile library and there will be a complex multi-ink setup for matte / glossy that allows you to use either Selenium or Warm Neutral or to blend them at any % in highlights, and/or midtones, and/or shadows. We may also release a matte only system with tri ink setup of quads for it. And our usual K7 or MPS system will be available.

If you are on StudioPrint, a solution is already available.

7890 and 9890 also....

Ernst,

Roy Harrington said he can drive it, but we don't have one here for doing the test files on that he needs. Can you get with him on that and provide your printer? You just have to download some files and print out using the installed Epson inks so he can check dot size, etc...  My inks will work on that model and I am sure you can pick up a cartridge system for it. If he determines that the same Curve I would make for another printer model will work on it - then I can supply those. We can verify that prior to your investing in inks and carts, etc. But first step is getting with Roy and donating some time to the cause!

Best regards,

Jon

Jon,

It was more on behalf of ... There is no 11880 here. Andrew Darlow needed a solution to print just the black channel of a 11880 (I guess one of the two black channels) and I directed him to the QTR list. His request wasn't answered there. While he might not be interested in a custom B&W ink set there's the same interest to get the 11880 supported in QTR. Ask him.
