Hi,
I just calibrated and profiled my first roll of canvas on the HP. According to the Tecco specifications I chose heavy weight paper >250g.
This way the printer does not know that he has canvas loaded and is cutting the "paper". Which works well and precise.
However, would the printer know it is canvas it would refuse to cut the medium.
Now, my question: Why should canvas not be cutted by the printer? Am I right assuming that this would result in a dull cutting unit, much more faster compared to only cutting paper? Are even damages of printer parts possible?
To be sure nothing unexpected will happen, I switched off the canvas cutting in the media presets.
