Question for Michael re: focusing/depth of field with MF
« on: November 30, 2010, 11:25:53 am »

I have been following this site since around 2000 or 2001. Over the years Michael has used and tested all sorts of cameras, starting with film, then he was one of the very earliest testers of 35mm digital. He was also one of the earliest to use various medium format backs for landscapes. Over on the Pentax Forum, there have  been a lot of posts about not being able to focus precisely, and difraction degradation on IQ when stopping down to f16 or 22 to try to keep sharp focus in a landscape.
My question: Michael~I looked at a lot of your MF landscapes over the years~ did you have these issues? Some of your field trips with other noted landscape shooters never mentioned this problem.  ;) :)
Thanks in advance
