Hasselblad HC 35mm lens
« on: November 15, 2010, 10:42:27 am »

I recently acquired the Hasselblad HC 35mm/f3.5 lens.  I have used it a few times now.  Although I like the lens I seem to find it more difficult to produce sharp images than with other Hasselblad HC lenses.  I would be interested to know whether other people have similar experiences.  I use the lens for studio model shoots.  Thanks, Joris.

I had that lens for a while. I didn't have any troubles with it. I upgraded to the 35-90, and it's very similar sharpness-wise in most cases.

The lens works best at f/5.6 to f/11.  At infinity, the corners are soft. The color is great and the auto-focus is fast. It is a tricky lens to master, but once you recognize it's quirks, it's a fine tool. It is probably one of the more idiosyncratic lenses in the HC lineup.
