What is the smallest LCD-type viewing device that can be tethered to a Sinar MFDB?

13" Macbook Pro, as far as I know. (Do you think we will still be using iPhones in 2030? ;) )

I use the 13" Axiotron Modbook which is a 13" macbook converted to a tablet (not macbook pro)  It is much easier to use for my style shooting on location, i use it tethered to a Sinar 54M.  Check out the axiotron site

Dennis

Sinar should bring back their Action Module: http://www.fotofenster.de/2004-03/sinaback54m.html

Hackintosh?

A Hackintosh with a Firewire port could work but is it worth the hassle?

No Hackintosh will be required if/when Sinar releases Captureshop for Windows OS.

But maybe it would take too long for such big files to open for viewing on an SC3 with a 1.3Ghz ATOM processor to make it a viable tool anyway?

Wayne, you wrote: ".....I took my first shot from the camera and within a few seconds it appeared as a thumbnail and shortly after that as a full screen image....."

Did you have time for a cup of coffee while you were waiting?

ah.  Didn't know that.

Seems USB 2.0 is fast enough to support digital backs now which would certainly open up possibilities for field tethering.  Played with the new MacBook Air (11" one) today... amazingly light and small.  Would make a lovely device to field tether with.
